Frequently Asked Questions
Organizing your home—especially during big life transitions—can feel personal and even a bit emotional. That’s why I take a thoughtful, individualized approach to every project.
Personalized organization is like a refreshing drink of water...
instantly calming, energizing, and exactly what you or your home needs to feel renewed.
(It’s one of the reasons I lovingly refer to this business as H2O.)
Below you'll find clear answers to the most common questions about my services, my process,
and what to expect, so you can feel informed, supported, and confident as you begin.
What kinds of organizing services do you offer?
Howe2Organize offers a range of personalized services, including: Decluttering & Tailored Organization: Hands-on organizing to bring calm and order to your home. Downsizing Assistance: Support in sorting, letting go, and making space for your next chapter. Move Preparation & Management: Help planning, packing, and setting up your new home with ease. Compassionate Care for a Loved One’s Belongings: Gentle, guided help in sorting and honoring the possessions of someone who has passed away. Each service is customized to your goals, pace, and emotional comfort level.
Will you make me get rid of my stuff?
YOU are the boss of your stuff! You are always in control of what stays and what goes. My role is to guide, support, and help you make decisions that feel right for you and your goal. If you’re not ready to part with something, we’ll simply create an organized way to store or honor it until you are.
Do you work with clients who have emotional or sentimental attachments to clutter?
Absolutely. Many people feel overwhelmed by the emotions tied to “stuff.” I take a compassionate, judgment-free approach that honors your memories and helps you keep what truly matters—without pressure or shame.
How is your approach different
from other organizers?
I blend professional organizing expertise with a trauma-informed and empathetic mindset. I understand that clutter often connects to life transitions, grief, or anxiety, and my process helps you create systems that align with how your brain works—not someone else’s Pinterest-perfect ideal.
Do you work with seniors or
people planning to age in place?
Yes. I specialize in senior-friendly organizing, helping older adults simplify their homes for safety, comfort, and independence. I also partner with local nonprofits and senior centers to provide both workshops and one-on-one organizing support.
How long does a typical session last?
Sessions are usually 2 to 8 hours, depending on your needs, energy level, and project size. I’ll help you choose the best option during our consultation so the process feels productive, not exhausting.
Do you offer virtual organizing?
Yes! Virtual sessions are available for clients who prefer remote support or live outside my in-person service area. You’ll receive customized guidance, accountability, and follow-up support—all via video call.
What if I feel embarrassed about my space?
Please don’t worry—truly. My role is to help, and never judge. Your home is a safe space for us to work together. My goal is to make you feel supported, empowered, and proud of the progress we make.
Can I book a consultation first?
Yes! Every project begins with a complimentary phone or virtual consultation to understand your goals, timeline, and comfort level. From there, we’ll design a plan that fits your needs and budget.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! An organizing session makes a thoughtful gift for any life season—new parents, empty nesters, seniors, or anyone craving calm and order. Holiday and custom gift certificates are available year-round.
Where do you offer in-person services?
Howe2Organize serves clients throughout New England, with in-home sessions primarily in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, southern & mid coast Maine. Virtual sessions are available nationwide.
